Sprocket Drum Poulan Wild Thing 2375 3/8 LP 6T 952048124
Clutch drum with integral spur sprocket for Poulan chainsaws. Replaces Poulan 952048124. Cross-references to 106114. THE NEEDLE BEARING IS INCLUDED. This is a complete drum and bearing assembly, not a bare drum. SPECIFICATION Pitch - 3/8 inch LOW PROFILE, also sold as 90 or 91 series chain Teeth - 6 Drum inside diameter - 2.500 inch Crankshaft bore - 10mm Needle bearing - included FITS 210, 221, 230, 260 1900 Patriot, 1950 Woodshark 2050, 2055, 2075, 2150, 2155, 2175 2250, 2375 Wild Thing, 2450, 2550 These are all one platform - Poulan covers the whole range in a single service manual, 33cc through 42cc, which is why one drum serves the lot. NOT THE POULAN PRO 255, 295, 2500 OR 2600. Those saws use the same 3/8 low profile pitch and the same six teeth, and a completely different drum. Pitch and tooth count will not tell them apart. This is the most common wrong order on a part like this. PITCH - CHECK IT BEFORE ORDERING. 3/8 inch LOW PROFILE is the narrow kerf chain. It is not the same as full size 3/8 pitch and the two will not run on each other's sprockets. The pitch is usually stamped on the bar. If it is not, measure the distance between three consecutive rivets on your old chain and divide by two. THE NAMES AND THE NUMBERS. Wild Thing is the 2375. Woodshark is the 1950. Patriot is the 1900. Poulan reused the names across model years, so if your saw carries only a name, check the displacement on the machine tag. WHILE THE CLUTCH IS OFF. Check the clutch shoes and look for blue heat marks on the drum face. The clutch is a LEFT HAND thread on these saws - turn it the wrong way and you tighten it. A note on comparing listings: many sprockets for this saw are sold as a bare drum with the bearing as a separate line item. If you are price-checking, check whether the bearing is in the box.
- DRUM AND NEEDLE BEARING TOGETHER - 3/8 inch LOW PROFILE, six tooth, one piece with the sprocket cast into the drum. The needle bearing is fitted, so this replaces the whole spinning assembly rather than leaving you to press an old bearing into a new drum. Replaces Poulan 952048124, cross-referenced 106114. Drum inside diameter 2.500 inch, crankshaft bore 10mm.
- 3/8 INCH LOW PROFILE, SIX TOOTH - NOT FULL SIZE 3/8 - Low profile is the narrow kerf chain these saws came with, sometimes sold as 90 or 91 series. Full size 3/8 will not run on it. The pitch is usually stamped on the bar; if it is not, measure between three consecutive rivets on the old chain and halve it.
- NOT THE POULAN PRO 255, 295, 2500 OR 2600 - and this is the trap, because those saws are ALSO 3/8 low profile and ALSO six tooth. Same pitch, same tooth count, different drum dimensions. Counting teeth will not save you here. Go by the model on the saw.
- THE NAMED MODELS AND THE NUMBERED ONES ARE THE SAME SAWS - Wild Thing is the 2375, Woodshark is the 1950, Patriot is the 1900. Buyers search both ways and the names were reused across years, so if your saw only carries a name, check the displacement on the tag before ordering.
- THE BEARING IS THE PART MOST KITS LEAVE OUT - and a drum that has worn has almost always worn its bearing with it, so fitting a new drum on an old bearing puts you back where you started. Ours comes with it. While the clutch is off, check the shoes and look for blue heat marks on the drum face. Note the clutch on these saws is a LEFT HAND thread - turn it the wrong way and you will tighten it.
