34mm Piston Kit 528052301 Fits RedMax BCZ2460S SRT2460

34mm piston kit that fits the RedMax BCZ2460S, BCZ2460TS, CHTZ2460, CHTZ2460L, CHT2460L, HEZ2460, HEZ2460F, SRT2460 and SRT2460F string trimmers, brushcutters and hedge trimmers; kit contents as shown in the photos. Replaces part number 528052301. Measure the old piston to confirm the 34mm size. Look at the cylinder through the exhaust port before fitting a piston alone, find the cause of the old failure, pressure and vacuum test the crankcase, and use a new base gasket and a ring compressor.

• 34MM PISTON KIT - Kit contents as shown in the photos. Replaces 528052301, also written 528 05 23-01.
• FITS REDMAX BCZ2460S, BCZ2460TS, CHTZ2460, CHTZ2460L, CHT2460L, HEZ2460, HEZ2460F, SRT2460 AND SRT2460F - String trimmers, brushcutters and hedge trimmers. Measure the old piston to confirm the 34mm size.
• CHECK THE CYLINDER, NOT JUST THE PISTON - Pull the muffler and look through the exhaust port. Light transfer marks hone out; deep scoring or flaking plating means the cylinder needs replacing too.
• FIND OUT WHY IT FAILED - A scored piston had a cause: a hardened crankshaft seal, a split intake boot, a lean carburetor setting or the wrong fuel mix. Pressure and vacuum test the crankcase before the new piston runs.
• ON ASSEMBLY - Use a ring compressor, fit the clips with their openings away from the slot, check ring end gap in the bore, and use a new base gasket.
