Intake Valve Stem Seals Fits Kohler KT17 KT19 M18 M20

Two intake valve stem seals that fit the Kohler KT17, KT19, M18 and M20 opposed twin engines, one for the intake valve of each cylinder. Replaces part number 52-032-13-S. A hard or split seal lets oil run down the valve stem into the cylinder, which shows as blue smoke at start-up or after idling and an oily plug. Check the valve guides for wear before fitting, since a seal will not control oil past a worn guide. Oil the stems, push the seals on square without catching the lips on the keeper grooves, and use new head gaskets when the heads go back on.

• TWO INTAKE VALVE STEM SEALS - Replaces 52-032-13-S, also written 52 032 13-S. One for the intake valve of each cylinder.
• FITS KOHLER KT17, KT19, M18 AND M20 - The opposed twin cylinder engines used in garden tractors.
• SIGNS THEY ARE DUE - Blue smoke at start-up or after idling, an oily plug and intake port, and oil use with good compression. A hard or split seal lets oil run down the intake valve stem into the cylinder.
• FITTING THEM - Fit them with the valves out during a valve job. Check the valve guides for wear first, since a seal will not control oil past a worn guide. Oil the stem and push the seal on square without tearing the lip on the keeper grooves.
• WHILE THE HEADS ARE OFF - Use new head gaskets, lap the valves, set the valve clearance with the engine cold, and torque the heads in sequence.
