Fuel Line and Filter Kit Fits Stihl 028 034 036 038 Chainsaw
Fuel line and fuel filter kit that fits the Stihl 028, 028WB, 028 Super and 028AV, the 034 and 034 Super, the 036 and 036 Pro, and the 038, 038AV and 038 Super chainsaws. Replaces part number 1119-353-7701. Fuel line on these saws goes hard and cracks where it passes through the tank wall, and a split line or a plugged filter shows up as a saw that runs lean, dies at full throttle or leaks fuel at the tank. To fit the kit, drain the tank, pull the old line out, feed the new line through from inside the tank with long-nose pliers and cut it so the filter rests on the bottom of the tank in any working position. While it is apart, check the carburetor inlet screen, the tank vent and the impulse line, since a blocked vent or a cracked impulse line starves the saw in the same way.
- FUEL LINE AND FUEL FILTER - Replaces part number 1119-353-7701. Old fuel line goes hard and cracks where it passes through the tank wall, and a saw that dies at full throttle, runs lean or leaks fuel at the tank is often feeding through a split line or a plugged filter.
- FITS STIHL 028, 034, 036 AND 038 - The 028, 028WB, 028 Super and 028AV, the 034 and 034 Super, the 036 and 036 Pro, and the 038, 038AV and 038 Super chainsaws.
- FITTING IT - Drain the tank, pull the old line out through the tank wall, and feed the new one through from the inside with a pair of long-nose pliers. Cut it to length so the filter rests on the bottom of the tank in any position the saw will be held.
- WHILE IT IS APART - With the line off, check the carburetor inlet screen, the tank vent and the impulse line. A blocked vent or a cracked impulse line starves the saw the same way a bad fuel line does.
- BEFORE YOU START IT - Fill the tank, check the line for leaks at the tank wall and the carburetor, and set the idle once the saw is warm. A carburetor that was run lean on an old line may need its mixture checked.
