Rebuild Tune-Up Kit Fits Briggs Vanguard 30 CI 68mm

A rebuild and tune-up kit for the Briggs & Stratton Vanguard 30 cubic inch (480cc) V-twins on a 68mm bore, built before date code 07122400 (December 24, 2007). The kit contains two 68mm standard pistons with rings, wrist pins and clips (843951), the complete gasket set with crankshaft seals, two spark plugs (replacing RC12YC), two oil filters (492932S), a fuel filter (493629S) and 4 oz of engine assembly lube. Connecting rods, valves and bearings are not included. It fits models 290442, 290446, 290447, 290772, 290777, 294440, 294442, 294446, 294447, 294772, 294775, 294776, 294777, 303707, 303772, 303775, 303776, 303777, 304447, 309440 and 309447. It does not fit the 35 CI (72mm) or 40 CI (76mm) twins, the big block, or 30 CI engines built after 07122400. Read the model, type and code on the engine, measure each bore before ordering, and torque the heads in sequence.

• STANDARD BORE - MEASURE FIRST - Check each bore for taper and out of round before ordering; a bored block needs oversize pistons. Check ring end gap, coat bearing surfaces with the assembly lube, and torque the heads in sequence.
