Rebuild Kit Fits Stihl BR500 BR550 BR600 BR700 Valves 50mm
A 50mm rebuild kit with valves for the Stihl BR500, BR550, BR600 and BR700 backpack blowers. The kit contains a 50mm piston with ring set, wrist pin and circlips, an intake valve, an exhaust valve, two crankshaft seals, the exhaust gasket, the valve cover gasket, a copper washer and a feeler gauge. Crankshaft bearings are not included. It replaces piston kit 4282-030-2003, intake valve 4282-025-1801, exhaust valve 4282-025-1903, two crankshaft seals 9639-003-1585, exhaust gasket 4282-149-0600 and valve cover gasket 4282-029-0500. It does not fit the BR800 family, which takes piston 4283-030-2003, or the two-stroke BR340, BR380 and BR420. This engine runs on two-stroke fuel mix but has intake and exhaust valves, so the valves are serviced with the piston and the clearance is set after assembly. Use this kit when the crankshaft still turns smoothly with no play; if the bearings are rough, the crankshaft bearings need replacing too. Before installing, find out why the old piston failed, use a ring compressor, and set the valve clearance to the service manual figure.
- PISTON, VALVES, SEALS AND GASKETS - A 50mm piston with ring set, wrist pin and circlips, intake and exhaust valves, two crankshaft seals, the exhaust gasket, the valve cover gasket, a copper washer and a feeler gauge. Crankshaft bearings are not included.
- FITS STIHL BR500, BR550, BR600 AND BR700 - The 64.8cc four-stroke backpack blowers with the 50mm bore. Not for the BR800 family, which takes piston 4283-030-2003, or for two-stroke blowers such as the BR340, BR380 and BR420.
- REPLACES PISTON KIT 4282-030-2003 AND THE MATCHING PARTS - Intake valve 4282-025-1801, exhaust valve 4282-025-1903, two crankshaft seals 9639-003-1585, exhaust gasket 4282-149-0600 and valve cover gasket 4282-029-0500.
- THIS ENGINE HAS VALVES - It is a four-stroke that runs on two-stroke fuel mix, with intake and exhaust valves. Set the valve clearance with a feeler gauge after assembly; wrong clearance makes the blower hard to start and down on power. This kit is for an engine whose crankshaft still turns smoothly with no play.
- BEFORE IT GOES TOGETHER - Find out why the old piston failed: an air leak at a hardened seal or intake boot, a blocked fuel filter or the wrong fuel mix will score a new one. Use a ring compressor and set the valve clearance to the service manual figure.
