Overhaul Kit Briggs Vanguard 993cc Rods Valves 841837

Overhaul kit for the Briggs & Stratton Vanguard 993cc (60.6 cubic inch) Big Block V-twin, with pistons, rods, valves and gaskets for a full mechanical rebuild. The kit contains two 86mm standard pistons with rings, wrist pins and circlips (841837), two connecting rods (841838), two intake valves (843730), two exhaust valves (844787) and the gasket set with seals (841122). Camshaft, lifters, bearings, valve springs, keepers and retainers are not included. It fits models 611475, 611477, 613477, 613777, 61A277, 61A777, 61E177, 61E377, 61E477, 61E777, 61E877 and 61E977, all beginning 61. It does not fit the 895cc (54.6 cubic inch) Big Block, models beginning 54 such as 540477, 541477, 542477 and 543477: both engines share the 86mm bore, but the 895cc has a 78mm stroke against the 993cc's 87mm, so the pistons and rods differ. Nor does it fit the smaller Vanguard V-twins. Read the model, type and code on the engine before ordering, measure the bores and crank journals, lap the valves, align the rod match marks and follow the service manual for torque.

• FITS BRIGGS & STRATTON VANGUARD 993CC MODELS - 611475, 611477, 613477, 613777, 61A277, 61A777, 61E177, 61E377, 61E477, 61E777, 61E877 and 61E977. All begin with 61. Read the model, type and code on the engine before ordering.
• REPLACES 841837, 841838, 843730, 844787 AND 841122 - Pistons with rings, connecting rods, intake valves, exhaust valves and the gasket set with seals. If your parts list shows these numbers, this kit covers them.
• STANDARD SIZES THROUGHOUT - Measure each bore and each crank journal before ordering. Lap the new valves to their seats, align the rod match marks, and torque the rods and heads to the service manual.
