Oil pump gasket that fits the Stihl 028, 028AV, 028WB and 028 Super chainsaws and the 015. Replaces part number 1116-649-0500. Replace it when bar oil weeps where the pump mounts, or the chain runs dry with oil in the tank. Scrape the old gasket off both faces without gouging them, fit the new one clean and dry, tighten the screws evenly, and check the oil line, pickup and bar oil hole while the pump is off.
- OIL PUMP GASKET - Replaces 1116-649-0500, also written 1116 649 0500.
- FITS STIHL 028, 028AV, 028WB, 028 SUPER AND 015 - Compare the old gasket with this one before fitting.
- SIGNS IT IS DUE - Bar oil weeping where the pump mounts, or a bar and chain running dry with oil in the tank. A leaking pump gasket can let the pump draw air instead of oil.
- FITTING IT - Scrape the old gasket off both faces without gouging them, fit the new one clean and dry, and tighten the pump screws evenly.
- CHECK THE OIL SYSTEM - While the pump is off, check the oil line and the pickup in the tank for cracks or clogging, and clean the oil hole in the bar.
