Carburetor 1108-120-0607 Fits Stihl 08 08S BT360 Chainsaw

Carburetor that fits the Stihl 08 and 08S chainsaws and the BT360 earth auger. Replaces part number 1108-120-0607 (1108 120 0607). Compare it with your old carburetor before fitting, checking the mounting holes, the throttle and choke linkage and the fuel and impulse connections. After fitting, start with the low and high speed screws at the settings in your service manual, warm the engine and then set the idle and fine-tune the mixture, never leaving it lean at full throttle. A new carburetor will not cure an air leak or a fuel supply fault, so check the intake gasket, fuel line, fuel filter and tank vent, and fit a new carburetor gasket on assembly.

• COMPARE IT WITH YOUR OLD CARBURETOR - Line the new carburetor up with the old one before fitting: the mounting holes, the throttle and choke linkage, and the fuel and impulse connections. Saws this age have often had parts swapped over the years.
• SET THE MIXTURE AFTER FITTING - Start with the low and high speed screws at the settings in your service manual, warm the saw up, then set the idle and fine-tune the low and high speed screws. Never run it lean at full throttle.
• CHECK FOR AIR LEAKS AND FUEL FAULTS - A new carburetor will not cure a cracked intake gasket, a split fuel line, a plugged fuel filter or a blocked tank vent. Check all four, and fit a new carburetor gasket on assembly.
• WHEN THE CARBURETOR IS THE PROBLEM - A saw that will not idle, floods, dies under load, or will not respond to the adjusting screws after the fuel system has been checked usually needs the carburetor replaced.
