Dual Port Muffler 1128-140-0616 Fits Stihl 044 046 Chainsaw

Dual port muffler assembly that fits the Stihl 044 and 046 chainsaws. Replaces part number 1128-140-0616 (1128 140 0616). Replace it when the body is cracked, a mounting ear has broken, or the exhaust has turned loud or rattly. Compare the mounting holes and outlet with the old muffler before fitting, use a new gasket if the old one is crushed or burnt, tighten the bolts evenly, and keep the outlets clear of carbon.

• FITS STIHL 044 AND 046 - Compare the old muffler's mounting holes and outlet with this one before fitting.
• SIGNS IT IS DUE - A cracked body, a broken mounting ear, a loud or rattling exhaust, or an outlet so blocked with carbon that the saw bogs and runs hot in the cut.
• KEEP THE OUTLETS CLEAR - Carbon builds at the outlets on a saw run with too much oil in the mix or left idling for long spells. A blocked outlet costs power and runs the cylinder hot, so check them at each service.
• FITTING IT - Use a new muffler gasket if the old one is crushed or burnt, tighten the bolts evenly, and recheck them after the first tank once the muffler has heated and cooled.
