Intake Boot 1118-411-2200 Fits Stihl 028 028AV 028 Super

Intake boot that fits the Stihl 028, 028AV, 028WB and 028 Super chainsaws. Replaces part number 1118-411-2200. Made from FKM fluoroelastomer, which resists the swelling and hardening that ethanol fuel causes in ordinary rubber. A cracked or hardened boot lets air in past the carburetor, so the saw runs lean, idles fast or hangs at high revs and in time scores its piston. Seat the new boot fully in its grooves, and pressure and vacuum test the crankcase once it is fitted.

• INTAKE BOOT - The rubber manifold between the carburetor and the cylinder. Replaces 1118-411-2200, also written 1118 411 2200.
• FITS STIHL 028, 028AV, 028WB AND 028 SUPER - Compare the old boot with this one before fitting.
• FLUOROELASTOMER RUBBER - Made from FKM fluoroelastomer, which resists the swelling and hardening that ethanol fuel causes in ordinary rubber.
• WHY BOOTS FAIL - A cracked or hardened boot lets air in past the carburetor. The saw runs lean, idles fast or hangs at high revs, will not hold a tune, and in time scores its piston.
• FITTING IT - Clean the cylinder and carburetor faces, seat the boot fully in its grooves, and pressure and vacuum test the crankcase once it is in. Check the crankshaft seals at the same time.
