Drive Sprocket Gear 302855 Fits McCulloch Electric Chainsaw

Drive sprocket with its inner drive gear that fits the McCulloch electric chainsaws built before 2004, including the same saws sold under other brand names. Replaces 302855, 6228-210104 and 40925-42. When the motor runs but the chain stops or stutters under load, or the gear teeth are rounded, this is the part. Unplug the saw, clean out the old grease, grease the new gear, and check chain tension and the oiler after assembly.

• SIGNS IT IS WORN - The motor runs but the chain stops or stutters under load, the gear teeth are rounded or stripped, or the sprocket teeth are grooved where the chain sits.
• MATCH THE CHAIN - A worn sprocket wears out a new chain, and a worn chain wears out a new sprocket. Replace them together when both are tired.
• FITTING IT - Unplug the saw first. Clean the old grease out of the gear housing, apply fresh grease to the gear, and check the chain tension and the oiler once it is back together.
