Intake Valve 4282-025-1801 Fits Stihl BR500 BR600

Intake valve that fits the Stihl BR500, BR550, BR600 and BR700 backpack blowers. Replaces part number 4282-025-1801; the exhaust valve is a different part, 4282-025-1903. Replace it when compression is low with the rings and bore in good order, the stem is bent, or the face or seat is pitted. Check the seat and guide, lap the valve in until the contact line is even, clean off all lapping compound, and set the valve clearance with the engine cold.

• INTAKE VALVE - Replaces 4282-025-1801, also written 4282 025 1801. The exhaust valve is a different part, 4282-025-1903.
• FITS STIHL BR500, BR550, BR600 AND BR700 - The 64.8cc backpack blowers.
• SIGNS IT IS DUE - Low compression with the rings and bore in good order, hard starting, a bent stem, or a valve that leaks when tested. Check the face and seat for pitting.
• FITTING IT - Check the seat and the guide, lap the new valve in until the contact line is even all round, and clean off every trace of lapping compound. Set the valve clearance with the engine cold.
• THIS ENGINE HAS VALVES - The 64.8cc engine runs on two-stroke fuel mix but has an intake and an exhaust valve. Check the valve clearance at each service; a clearance that has closed up holds a valve open and burns it.
