Gasket Set with Seals Fits Kohler K161 K181 M8 Engine

Gasket set with crankshaft oil seals that fits the Kohler K161, K181 and M8 cast iron single-cylinder engines, the 7 and 8 horsepower models. It covers a top-end job or a full overhaul of one engine. It does not fit the larger K241, K301, K321 or K341. Read the model and spec number on the engine tag before ordering. On assembly, scrape every mating face down to clean, flat metal, check the head for warping, press the seals in square with the lip facing in and oiled, and torque the head bolts in stages and in the pattern given in the service manual.

• GASKET SET WITH SEALS - The gaskets and the crankshaft oil seals for a top-end job or a full overhaul of one engine.
• FITS KOHLER K161, K181 AND M8 - The 7 and 8 horsepower cast iron single-cylinder engines. Read the model and spec number on the engine tag before ordering.
• NOT FOR THE BIGGER SINGLES - The K241, K301, K321 and K341 are larger engines and take a different gasket set.
• PREPARE THE SURFACES - Scrape every mating face down to clean, flat metal and check the head for warping. A new gasket will not seal against old gasket material or a warped head.
• FIT THE SEALS AND TIGHTEN IN SEQUENCE - Press the crankshaft seals in square with the lip facing in and oil the lip before the crank goes through. Torque the head bolts in stages and in the pattern in your service manual.
