Cylinder and piston kit, 56mm, for the Husqvarna and Partner K950 power cutter. Replaces part number 506155506, also written 506 15 55-06, and the earlier revision 506155504. Contents: chrome plated cylinder with the decompression port drilled and tapped, piston, two piston rings, wrist pin and circlips. The engine is 94cc. Fits all three K950 machines. The K950 cut-off saw, the K950 Ring saw - the one with the blade driven from its rim rather than its centre, so it cuts roughly twice as deep for a given blade diameter - and the K950 Chain. All three share the powerhead, so they share this part. Partner K950 is the same machine under the earlier badge and carries the identical Husqvarna part number. The mistake to avoid is the successor machines. The K960 and K970 are also 56mm bore, and they use a completely different cylinder - 544 93 56-02 or -03. Bore alone will not identify this part. It has to be a K950. The ring is 503 28 90-24, 56mm by 1.5mm, two per piston. That same ring is used in the Husqvarna 298, 394, 394XP, 2100 and 2101 chainsaws, which is worth knowing if you need one in a hurry. These machines cut concrete, and concrete dust is the most abrasive thing a two-stroke ever breathes. When you rebuild one, do the whole job: fit new crankshaft seals and a base gasket along with the top end, check the intake boot for cracks, and service the air filter properly. An air leak or a poorly sealed filter will put the new piston where the old one is inside a season. The K950 is a legacy machine, replaced in Husqvarna's range by the K960 and then the K970, which is exactly why a good aftermarket top end is worth having. Base gasket, crankshaft seals, decompression valve and the cylinder plug are not included.

  • 56MM CYLINDER AND PISTON KIT - Cylinder, piston, two piston rings, wrist pin and circlips. Replaces Husqvarna and Partner part number 506155506, also written 506 15 55-06, and the earlier 506155504. Chrome plated cylinder with the decompression port drilled and tapped.
  • FITS ALL THREE K950 MACHINES - The K950 cut-off saw, the K950 Ring saw and the K950 Chain saw all run the same 94cc powerhead and take the same cylinder and piston. Partner K950 is the same machine under the earlier badge and carries the identical part number.
  • THE K960 AND K970 ARE ALSO 56MM AND ARE NOT THIS PART - This is the one that would cost you. Both successors share the bore but use a completely different cylinder, 544 93 56-02 or -03. A 56mm Husqvarna cut-off saw is not enough to identify the part - it has to be a K950.
  • TWO RINGS, AND THE NUMBER IS WORTH KNOWING - Ring is 503 28 90-24, 56mm by 1.5mm, two per piston. The same ring serves the Husqvarna 298, 394, 394XP, 2100 and 2101 chainsaws, which is useful if you are sourcing in a hurry.
  • DO THE SEALS AND THE FILTER WHILE IT IS APART - These machines live in concrete dust, which is the hardest environment any two-stroke works in. Fit new crankshaft seals and a base gasket with the top end, check the intake boot, and service the air filter properly - it is what stands between the new piston and the same fate as the old one. Base gasket, crank seals, decompression valve and the cylinder plug are not included.
