A 48mm piston kit for the Stihl 036, 036 Pro, MS360 and 034 Super, replacing 1125-030-2001. The plain 034 is 46mm and takes a different piston. A scored piston is usually a lean condition, so pressure and vacuum test the crankcase and fix any air leak or fuel fault before the new piston goes in. Measure ring end gap in the bore, use a ring compressor and fit the circlips fully.

- FIND THE CAUSE FIRST - A scored piston is usually a lean condition: an air leak at the intake or crank seals, or a fuel fault. Pressure and vacuum test the crankcase before the new piston goes in.
- CHECK RING END GAP IN THIS CYLINDER - Square the ring in the bore, measure the gap with a feeler, and check side clearance in the groove. Use a ring compressor and fit the circlips with the open end away from the notch.
