A rebuild kit with valves for the Kohler 77mm, 624cc twin-cylinder engines, for a top-end rebuild with head service. The kit contains two 77mm standard pistons with wrist pins and circlips (replacing 24-874-46-S), two matched ring sets, two intake valves, two exhaust valves, the complete gasket set (head, valve cover, intake and exhaust gaskets and small O-rings), two crankshaft oil seals and crankcase sealer. Connecting rods, valve springs, camshaft, lifters and crankshaft bearings are not included. It fits the CH18, CH20, CH22, CH620, CH621, CH640, CH641, CV18, CV20, CV22, CV620 and CV640; some CH22, CH620 and CH640 engines are the 80mm, 674cc version, so check the displacement on the nameplate. The engine is 77mm bore by 67mm stroke. Lap each valve to its seat, check seat width and guides, fit the stem seals and set valve clearance; check each bore for taper and ring end gap before the pistons go in.

- REPLACES 24-874-46-S - The Kohler standard 77mm piston, two of them, with their own matched rings. For cylinders at the 77mm standard size; a bored cylinder needs oversize pistons.
- HEAD WORK WHILE IT IS APART - Lap each new valve to its seat, check seat width and the valve guides, fit new stem seals, and set the valve clearance to the service manual figure. Check each bore for taper and ring end gap before the pistons go in.
