Piston kit for the Shindaiwa EB802 and EB802RT backpack blower. Replaces P021029411. IN THE BOX - piston, rings, wrist pin and circlips. SPECIFICATION Bore - 49mm Stroke - 42mm Displacement - 79.2cc, 4.83 cubic inches Pairs with cylinder assembly - P021029350 Related numbers - piston A100000511, ring A101000270 FITMENT. EB802 and EB802RT. The RT designation covers the throttle and control arrangement, not the engine - the specification table is identical and this piston serves both. WHAT THIS DOES NOT FIT. The EB8520 and EB8510 are 51mm bores at 79.7cc. That is two millimetres of bore and half a cubic centimetre between them and this engine, on machines from the same maker in the same product class, and the model number gives you no clue. Read the number on the blower housing before ordering. The 8010 and 9010 blowers are a further trap. Those pair with the EB810 and EB910 and use piston P100008020 - a different part entirely. At 79.9cc against this engine's 79.2cc the displacements are close enough to look interchangeable on a spec sheet. They are not. AVAILABILITY. The manufacturer lists P021029411 as no longer available. On a machine of this age the top end is usually what decides whether it keeps working. BEFORE FITTING A PISTON ALONE. Look through the exhaust port at the cylinder wall. Scoring or aluminum transfer means the bore needs attention too. Check the crankshaft seals and the intake boot while access is easy, clean the muffler screen, and check the air filter seats properly - dust drawn past a poorly seated filter is the usual cause of a worn bore on a blower.
- FITS THE EB802 AND EB802RT BACKPACK BLOWER - Bore 49mm, stroke 42mm, 79.2cc. Replaces piston kit P021029411, supplied as piston, rings, wrist pin and circlips. Related numbers are piston A100000511, ring A101000270 and cylinder assembly P021029350. The RT is a control and throttle variant of the same machine - same engine, same piston, no difference to this part.
- DOES NOT FIT THE EB8520 OR EB8510 - Those are a 51mm bore at 79.7cc. Two millimetres of bore and half a cubic centimetre of displacement apart from this one, on the same brand and the same kind of machine, and nothing in the model number tells you which you have. Read the number on the blower housing, not the shape of the unit.
- NOT THE 8010 AND 9010 FAMILY EITHER - Those pair with the EB810 and EB910 and take a completely different piston, P100008020. At 79.9cc against this engine's 79.2cc they are close enough on paper to catch people out, and the parts do not interchange at all.
- THE FACTORY KIT IS DISCONTINUED - P021029411 is listed by the manufacturer as no longer available, which is the reason a page like this one exists. If you are keeping an EB802 running, the top end is the part that stops you.
- WHILE YOU HAVE IT APART - Check the crankshaft seals and the intake boot for hardening and cracks, look through the exhaust port at the cylinder wall before fitting a piston on its own, and clean the muffler screen. On a blower that has run in dust, check the air filter seat as well - dust past a neglected filter is what wore the bore in the first place.
