Piston Kit for Hilti DSH 700 Gas Cut-Off Saws This piston kit replaces Hilti part number 412238 and fits the 70cc single-cylinder two-stroke engine used in the DSH 700 handheld gas cut-off saw. The 50mm-bore kit includes the piston, piston rings, wrist pin, and retaining clips for one saw. Fitment Compatible with the Hilti DSH 700 and DSH 700-X (also written DSH-700X) gas cut-off saws. It does not fit the larger DSH 900 or DSH 900-X, which use an 87cc engine with a different piston and a different bore, so confirm you have the 70cc, 50mm DSH 700 engine before ordering. Confirming Fit and Related Parts Check the saw model and the part number on the original piston. For a cylinder that is scored or worn beyond a re-ring, this engine also uses a matched cylinder-and-piston assembly (Hilti 412245). Fresh gaskets and seals are recommended whenever the engine is opened.

  • One piston kit for the 70cc single-cylinder two-stroke engine in the Hilti DSH 700 gas cut-off saw, replacing part number 412238. The 50mm-bore kit includes the piston, piston rings, wrist (piston) pin, and retaining clips for one saw.
  • Compatible with the Hilti DSH 700 and DSH 700-X (DSH-700X) handheld gas cut-off saws. This piston does not fit the larger DSH 900 or DSH 900-X, which use an 87cc engine with a different piston and bore.
  • Standard 50mm-bore piston. If the cylinder has been damaged or worn beyond a re-ring, this engine also uses a matched cylinder-and-piston assembly (Hilti 412245). This kit is for a cylinder at the standard 50mm size.
  • To confirm fit, check the saw model and the part number stamped on the original piston or shown in the parts diagram. The engine should be the 70cc DSH 700 class with a 50mm bore, not the 87cc DSH 900.
  • A piston ring compressor eases seating the rings during reassembly, and fresh gaskets and seals are recommended whenever the engine is opened. Work on a clean bench and note ring orientation before removing the old piston.
