  • TWO VALVE STEM SEALS - A pair of valve stem seals replacing Kohler 25-032-14-S, also written 2503214 and 25 032 14 S. Two per order, which covers one cylinder head on a twin. Order two packs if you are doing both heads.
  • FITS THE KOHLER COMMAND AND COMMAND PRO TWINS - CH18, CH20, CH22, CH23, CH25, CH620 and CH640, together with the vertical shaft CV equivalents and the CV730, CV740 and CV750. Read the model and spec numbers off the blower housing decal.
  • FIT THEM WHENEVER THE HEAD COMES OFF - A hardened stem seal lets oil down the guide, which shows as smoke on start up and oil consumption with no external leak. They cost very little, they are the part most often reused, and the head is already apart - change them.
  • CHECK THE GUIDE WHILE YOU ARE THERE - A new seal in a worn guide will not cure oil consumption. Guide inside diameter when new is 7.038 to 7.058mm; replace at 7.134mm on the intake or 7.159mm on the exhaust. Measure the valve stems you intend to reuse as well as the guides.
  • ASSEMBLY NOTES - Fit the seal squarely and do not knock it out of shape getting it over the stem. Lubricate the stem before the valve goes through so the lip is not cut on first assembly. These engines use hydraulic lifters, so there is no lash to set afterwards, but turn the engine over by hand before the first start.
