A ring and gasket kit for the Kohler 80mm, 674cc twin-cylinder engines with Style A pistons. The kit contains two ring sets with a 1.5mm top ring, second ring and three-piece oil ring, the head gaskets, the valve cover gaskets, crankshaft seals and sump sealant. Pistons, rods and valves are not included; the kit re-rings the pistons already in the engine. These engines were built with two ring groove styles, so measure the old top ring first: 1.5mm is Style A and takes this kit, while 1.2mm is Style B and needs the Style B kit. It fits the CH22, CH23, CH620, CH621, CH640, CH641, CH670, CH680 and CH682 and the CV22, CV23, CV620, CV640, CV670 and CV680 at 80mm bore. Some CH22, CH620, CH640 and CV620 engines are the 77mm, 624cc version, so check the displacement on the nameplate. It replaces ring sets 24-108-18-S and 24-108-08-S. The top and second rings can go in either way up. Before assembly, check each bore for taper and out of round and the ring grooves for wear, check ring end gap in the bore, and use a ring compressor.
