A complete recoil starter kit for the small plastic-housing Homelite saws: the Super 2, XL-2, XL, 240, 245 and SEZ, and the ST80, ST100, ST120, ST160, ST165, ST180 and ST200 trimmers. The kit contains the double-wrap starter pulley, the rewind spring, a 3.5mm starter rope about 46 inches long and the handle. It replaces pulley 97768A (also listed as 97768, 97768-B, UP04091, PS03117 and UP05460), spring A-97908 and rope 97899. The double-wrap pulley replaced the original single-wrap pulley, which could warp and cause starting trouble. The kit does not fit the Super XL, XL-12, SXL, XL-925, XL-800 or the other large saws, which use a different metal-housing starter (94842); the names are close, so check that your starter housing is plastic. Wear eye protection when fitting the spring, since it is under tension and can jump out of its housing. Set enough preload that the handle returns all the way, and check the pawls engage before refitting the starter.
