A ring and gasket kit for the Kohler 83mm twin-cylinder engines, 725cc and 747cc. The kit contains two standard 1.5mm Style A ring sets (top compression, second compression and three-piece oil ring), the complete gasket set (head, valve cover, intake and exhaust gaskets and small O-rings) and two crankshaft oil seals. It replaces ring set 24-108-14-S (earlier 24-108-04-S). Pistons, connecting rods and valves are not included; this kit re-rings and reseals an engine whose pistons are still good. The rings must match the grooves of the pistons being kept: measure the old top ring (1.5mm for Style A, 1.2mm for Style B) or read the old piston number, and if your parts list shows 25-108-01-S, that is the Style B set. It fits the CH25, CH26, CH27, CH730, CH735, CH740, CH745, CH750, CV25, CV26, CV27, CV724, CV725, CV730, CV740, CV745, CV750, KT715, KT725, KT730, KT735, KT740, KT745, SV710 to SV840, LH755 and LH775. Hone both cylinders for a crosshatch, check for taper, and fit new valve stem seals while the engine is apart; rings will not seal a scored or glazed bore.

- WHILE THE ENGINE IS APART - Hone both cylinders for a crosshatch, check the bores for taper, check the crank journals and rod clearance, and fit new valve stem seals. Rings will not seal a scored or glazed bore.
