If a dealer has specifically quoted you 792023, contact us before ordering. QUANTITY. A V twin needs two pistons and two of each valve. All of that is supplied, so one purchase does the whole engine rather than one cylinder. STANDARD BORE ONLY. The .020 oversize piston is 792072 and the matching ring set is 792073. Neither is in this kit. A standard piston in a machined cylinder will not seal and cannot be returned once fitted. IDENTIFYING YOUR ENGINE. These engines powered riding mowers, zero turns, lawn tractors and generators across many equipment makes, so the plate on the machine carries the equipment maker's number rather than the engine's. The model, type and code are stamped on the blower housing. BEFORE ASSEMBLY. Measure bore taper and out-of-round. Inspect valve guides and seats while the heads are off, since that is the work you do not want to repeat. Wash cylinders in hot soapy water after honing. Check ring end gap in the bore each ring will actually run in.
