A .030 oversize overhaul kit for the Kohler 83mm twin-cylinder engines, 725cc and 747cc, bored to 83.75mm. The kit contains two 83.75mm pistons with rings, wrist pins and circlips, the complete gasket set (head, valve cover, intake and exhaust gaskets and small O-rings), two crankshaft oil seals and crankcase sealer. Rods, valves and bearings are not included. What the trade calls .030 is the 0.75mm step, so these pistons fit only a cylinder machined to 83.75mm; they will not go into a standard bore. The pistons come with their own rings, so there is no need to measure the old ring grooves. It fits the CH25, CH26, CH27, CH730, CH735, CH740, CH745, CH750, CV25, CV26, CV27, CV724, CV725, CV730, CV740, CV745, CV750, KT715, KT725, KT730, KT735, KT740, KT745, SV710 to SV840, LH755 and LH775 once bored .030 over. Before assembly, check piston-to-bore clearance, ring end gap and groove side clearance, and use a ring compressor.

FOR A BORED CYLINDER ONLY - What the trade calls .030 is the 0.75mm step: 0.75mm over the 83.00mm standard bore gives 83.75mm. These will not go into a standard bore. Measure the finished bore, or ask the shop what it cut, before ordering.

NO RING-STYLE CHECK NEEDED - These engines were built with 1.2mm and 1.5mm ring grooves. The pistons come with their own matched rings, so there is nothing to measure on the old ones.
MEASURE BEFORE IT GOES TOGETHER - Check the finished bore against the piston for the specified clearance, check ring end gap in the bore and side clearance in the groove, and use a ring compressor.
